    Charbay is owned and operated by the Karakasevic family. Founder 12th Generation Winemaker & Master Distiller Miles Karakasevic, and his son, Marko (my husband!), produce award-winning small-batch vodkas, as well as Alambic Pot Still rum, whiskey, pastis and brandy in their classical Alambic Charentais Pot Still located in Mendocino County (an hour north of their winery/distillery in Napa Valley). Susan Karakasevic is the General Manager and Jenni Karakasevic (that's me!) handles National Sales. The family also produces wines, aperitifs, liqueurs & ports made with selections from their library of 25-year old brandies.

    Latest HOT Cocktails

    Green Tea Martini (created by Jason Gronlund, friend and executive chef of Tabasco, featured on saveur.com)
    1 1/2 ounce Charbay Green Tea Vodka
    1 1/2 ounce Zen Green Tea Liqueur
    1 ounce ginger vodka
    1 ounce sake or soju
    1/2 ounce simple syrup
    juice of 1/2 lemon
    1 dash habanero Tabasco sauce (my favorite!)
    crystallized ginger for garnish
    Pour ingredients into a shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously. Strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with a sliver of crystallized ginger
    Solage Spiced Orange (Solage, Calistoga)
    2 ounces Charbay Blood Orange Vodka
    1 ounce Charbay Meyer Lemon Vodka
    1/2 ounce Spiced* Simple Syrup
    1/4 ounce simple syrup
    3 ounces freshly squeezed blood oranges

    Garnish: Martini glass rimmed with Christmas Spice* filled with freshly spun, Christmas Spice* cotton candy. Shake and strain over cotton candy. Watch it melt, and enjoy!

    *Christmas Spice: Cinnamon, cardamom and cloves

    Pomegranate Sparkler (Kate Wentz, Starlight Supper Club, San Diego)

    In a champagne flute combine:
    1/2 ounce Charbay Blood Orange Vodka
    2 ounces fresh pomegranate juice
    Splash of fresh lemon juice
    Top with Prosecco and 5-6 pomegranate seeds

    Morning Glory (Justin Stidham, Pangea Austin)
    1 1/2 ounce CHARBAY Green Tea Vodka
    1/2 ounce CHARBAY Meyer Lemon Vodka
    1/2 ounce CHARBAY Clear Vodka
    1/2 ounce mint green tea (honest tea is great)
    squeeze agave nectar
    squeeze lemon juice
    *shake with 2 mint leaves and an egg white; add ice and shake a bit more; strain into a chilled martini glass that's half way rimmed with organic honey. Served with 2 grapes and an advil (!!!)
    "Rich & Skinny" (Charlie Palmers, South Coast Plaza, Orange County CA)
    1 1/4 ounces CHARBAY Pomegranate Vodka
    3/4 ounce elderflower juice (sold at Ikea)
    1/4 ounce limoncello (lemon liqueur)
    1/4 ounce pomegranate juice
    Splash fresh lime juice
    *Place all ingredients except garnish in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously. Strain into martini glass and garnish with an orange twist
    Spice Me Ginger (Tanzore, Beverly Hills)
    Charbay Clear Vodka
    Mint
    Cucumber
    Fresh Ginger
    Indian Chili
    Ginger Syrup
    Muddle, shake and strain
    Major Bailey - by Allan Katz
    2 ounces Charbay Raspberry Vodka
    1/2 ounce fresh lemon
    1/2 ounce fresh lime
    1 ounce simple syrup (turbinado preffered)
    12 mint leaves
    Muddle, shake & tea strain over crushed ice. Pure goodness.
    Mongoose (Tanzore, Beverly Hills)
    Charbay Meyer Lemon Vodka
    Cucumber
    Lemon Juice
    Chili Powder
    Served Chilled Up

    8 leaves basil
    1/4 ounce strawberry gum syrup
    1 1/2 ounces CHARBAY Ruby Red Grapefruit Vodka
    1/3 ounce grapefruit juice
    Shake and strain into a chilled martini glass. Enjoy!
