Solage, Calistoga, is on fire!

Last week Marko and I went down to Solage Calistoga to pour cocktails for their membership party. And believe me, this cocktail was enough to make me want to sign up for a membership NOW!
Check this out:

Solage Spiced Orange
2 ounces Charbay Blood Orange Vodka
1 ounce Charbay Meyer Lemon Vodka
1/2 ounce Spiced* Simple Syrup
1/4 ounce simple syrup
3 ounces freshly squeezed blood oranges

Garnish: Martini glass rimmed with Christmas Spice* filled with freshly spun, Christmas Spice* cotton candy. Shake and strain over cotton candy. Watch it melt, and enjoy!

*Christmas Spice: Cinnamon, cardamom and cloves

They had this beautiful table covered in martini glasses filled with cotton candy, just waiting for us to pour the bright red cocktail over the candy for pure goodness. Tart and sweet, super flavorful and more spicy as you got to the bottom of the glass.
I know, I know - I should have a photo for you... I'm sorry! I was so busy shaking up shakers and shakers full of the martini - there was no time! And don't blame it on Marko either - he was the one pouring... So, I guess we'll just have to do it again :-)

I have to also tell you a little bit about the dessert station... Can you say homemade, to order, bananas foster? With spun to order vanilla ice cream?? OK, let's all get down to Solage and become members. They've got my vote!

Merry, Merry Christmas all - may you get everything you wished for from Santa, and lots of love from your family and friends. May there be no traffic on the road when you travel from party to party. All the best from the Charbay family... Each and every one of us. That's the Karakasevic family - Susan, Miles, Lara & Marko - Dana (our office goddess), Mark (hospitality guru), Richard (our sales machine), Mark Wiget (our warehouse manager) and good ole me - Jenni Olson (pick a hat!)... Liquid smiles everyone...
